Oakheart, who speaks for the trees
Last but not least of the Knights of the Round, Oakheart seems to be the physical manifestation of the forests of the British Isles, a sort of plant elemental with broad powers over the vegetation of the world. He is, himself, basically an animate humanoid tree, and can easily appear to be simply a normal tree when he wishes. He usually appears in the humanoid form above, however.
His origins are unclear. He seems to simply be a naturally occuring magical being of some kind. He has been active as a member of the Knights of the Round sinc etheir founding, and it is unclear how long he existed, at least in this form, prior to that.
Oakheart is in no way human. He is as inteeligent as a human, and as complex, but he is still, fundamentally, a tree. He is definitely male, but in the way trees are male or female, with no interest in humanoid sex or romance.
Oakheart protects any innocent, and operates happily with the Knights on their normal superheroic aventures, but he also focuses on protection of the environment, especially the old growth forests of Great Britain. He *has* been convinced (by Paragon) not to simply kill those who despoil or endanger the forests, instead bringing them to justice inside the system, if he cannot just scare them into acting as they should.
Of his teamates, he is closest to Mormaer, John Bull, and interestingly, Sherlock and Punk Rock.
